Description.
Calee Schroeder Reed was born in Rexburg, Idaho, and grew up in San Diego, California. Her mother was a vocal coach, and Calee was taught to sing at a very young age. By the time Calee was a teenager, her sisters and her were performing in multi-part harmony all over Southern California.
Calee began writing music of her own after high school – experimenting with different genres ranging from grunge rock to pop. When her mother was diagnosed with cancer, her focus turned to Christian media and worship music.
After battling colon cancer for four years, her mother became terminally ill and Calee began writing worship music of her own as a way to sustain her faith. Calee credits Christian music for keeping her belief in God alive after her mother’s passing.
She penned The Waiting Place – her debut album – as a way to give back to the music community and reach others who find themselves experiencing similar trials in life.
The album was released by Shadow Mountain Records in May of 2012. A music video for “She Put the Music in Me” features home video and photos of Calee’s mother. All proceeds from the download of that song in May were donated to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
Calee was married to Shaun Reed in April of 2012. They currently live in Idaho.

1 – I Pray On Christmas
Words and Music: Harry Connick, Jr.
© 1993 Papa S June Music, Inc. (BMI)
I pray on Christmas
That the Lord will see me through
I pray on Christmas
He’ll show me what to do
I pray on Christmas
He’ll help me understand
And I pray on Christmas
He’s gonna take me by the hand
I pray on Christmas
That the sick will soon be strong
I pray on Christmas
That the Lord will hear my song
I pray on Christmas
That God will lead the way
And I pray on Christmas
He’ll get me through another day
I pray on Christmas
I pray on Christmas
I pray on Christmas
He’ll get me through another day
I pray on Christmas
All our problems gonna be worked out
I pray on Christmas
God will show us what love’s about
I pray on Christmas
To do your will each day
And I pray on Christmas
That I will be with you in heaven someday
I pray on Christmas
Oh, the sick will soon be strong
I pray on Christmas
That the Lord will hear my song
I pray on Christmas
That God will lead the way
And I really, really pray on Christmas day
That I will make it through another day
I pray on Christmas
Won’t you help me through another day

2 – Christmas Time Is Here
Words and Music: Vince Guaraldi
Christmas time is here
Happiness and cheer
Fun for all that children call
Their favorite time of the year
Snowflakes in the air
Carols everywhere
Olden times and ancient rhymes
Of love and dreams to share
Sleigh bells in the air
Carols everywhere
Yuletide by the fireside
And joyful memories there
Christmas time is here
We’ll be drawing near
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year
Sleigh bells in the air
Beauty everywhere
Yuletide by the fireside
And joyful memories there
Oh, Christmas time is here
We’ll be drawing near
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year

The First Noel, the Angels did say

In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter’s night that was so deep.

They looked up and saw a star
Shining in the East beyond them far
And to the earth it gave great light
And so it continued both day and night.

4 – I Wonder As I Wander
Words: John Jacob Niles
Music: Traditional Folk Song
Public Domain
I wonder as I wander out under the sky
How Jesus the Savior did come for to die
For poor on’ry people like you and like I
I wonder as I wander out under the sky
If Jesus had wanted for any small thing
A star in the sky or a bird on the wing
Or all of God’s Angels in heaven to sing
He surely could have it, for he was the King
I wonder as I wander out under the sky
How Jesus the Savior did come for to die
To save lonely people like you and like I
I wonder as I wander out under the sky

5 – What Child Is This?
Words: William Chatterton Dix
Music: Traditional English tune, Greensleeves
Public Domain
What Child is this who, laid to rest
On Mary’s lap is sleeping
Whom Angels greet with anthems sweet
While shepherds watch are keeping
This, this is Christ the King
Whom shepherds guard and Angels sing
Haste, haste, to bring Him laud
The Babe, the Son of Mary
So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh
Come peasant, king to own Him
The King of kings salvation brings
Let loving hearts enthrone Him
Raise, raise a song on high
The virgin sings her lullaby
Joy, joy for Christ is born
The Babe, the Son of Mary

6 – Go Tell It On the Mountain
Words and Music: African-American Spiritual
Public Domain
Go tell it on the mountain
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ was born
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ was born
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ was born
While shepherd kept their watching
O’er the silent flocks by night
He poured throughout the heavens
They shined that holy light
I’m telling you to
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ was born
Well, when I was a seeker
I sought both night and day
I sought the Lord to help me
And he showed me the way
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ was born
Well ,he brought with him forgiveness
And he showed us the way
Saving all of God’s creations
Washed our sins away
Upon the lonely manger
Where the baby was born
And hey!
Ain’t nobody got to worry no more
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ was born
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ was born
Our Savior, he was…
Never been the same since the Savior was born

7 – Mary, Did You Know
Words: Mark Lowry
Music: Buddy Greene
© 1991, 1993 Word Music, LLC (a div. of Word Music Group, LLC) and Rufus Music (admin. by Gaither Copyright Management)
Mary, did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know, that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you’ve delivered, will one day deliver you
Mary, did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know, that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little baby, you’ve kissed the face of God
The blind will see
And the deaf will hear
The dead will live again
And the lame will leap
The dumb will speak
Praises of the Lamb
Mary, did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy will one day rule this nation?
Did you know, that your baby boy is heaven’s perfect lamb?
This sleeping child you’re holding, is the great I AM
He is the great I AM

8 – The Christmas Song
Words: Mel Torme
Music: Robert Wells
©1946 Edwin H. Morris & Co., A division of MPL Music Publishing, Inc. (ASCAP)
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping on your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa’s on his way
He’s loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother’s child is going to spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly
And so I’m offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
And though it’s been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you
And so I’m offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two, that’s you
And though it’s been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you

9 – O Little Town of Bethlehem
Words: Phillips Brooks
Music: Lewis H. Redner
Public Domain
O little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
The everlasting Light
The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonightFor Christ is born of Mary
And gathered all above
While mortals sleep the angels keep
Their watch of wond’ring love
And praises sing to God the King
And peace to men on earth
How silently how silently
The wondrous gift is giv’n
So God imparts to human hearts
The blessings of his heav’n
No ear may hear his coming
But in this world of sin
Where meek souls will receive him still
The dear Christ enters in
Guitar – Rich Dixon
10 – My Christmas Wish
Words and Music: Alex Boye
© 2010 Boye Central Music
Mama’s trying hard this year to bring the family together
Didn’t always get along and didn’t that they would ever
But this time mama was determined
She got down on her knees
And tried much harder to pray to the Father
Listen to her plea, she said
(Chorus)
Oh Lord, help my family
See my world is a tumbling down so fast
Won’t you set my spirit free?
I ‘m never gonna ask for nothing else
That means more to me than this
That’s the only thing that I want on my Christmas wish
She said, I’m not gonna let the problems of this world
Get the best of me
Pull me away from the most important people in my family tree
Oh I ‘m not gonna let another day go by pretending everything’s fine
Life is crazy, we’re all busy but I know we’ve got to try, so I said
Chorus
Oh dear father in heaven
I’m gonna turn my face to the Son
I know thy kingdom come
And I know thy will be done
There’s a harvest for every season
And I pray this is gonna be one
And I pray that my time has come
Oh, I pray that my time has come
Thanksgiving has come and gone
Christmas time is here
I’m sitting here wondering if I’m gonna be alone again this year
A flashback of all the heartache
Brings the terrible pain I caused
And I was shocked to the core when I saw, my family standing at my door
Oh I said
Thank you Lord
You helped my family
When my world was a tumblin’ down so fast
You set my Spirit free
I’m never gonna asked for nothing else
That meant more to me than this
That’s the only thing that I wanted for my Christmas wish
That’s the only thing that I wanted for my Christmas wish
That is all I ever wanted for my Christmas wish

Hammond organ – Mikel Azpiroz

11 – O Holy Night
Words: Placide Cappeau
Music: Adolphe Adam
Public Domain
O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born
O night, O Holy Night, O night divine!
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
With all our hearts we praise His holy name
Oh Christ is our King! Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine! Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night! Oh night divine!
Oh night! Oh night divine!
Piano – Sam Cardon
